On December 4-5, the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) hosted the Aviation Security Summit in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This conference is put together so that federal aviation security policymakers can come together and review the complex issues that the aviation industry faces, both now and in the future.
This marked a great opportunity for Intellisoft to continue our tradition of “Always Improving”. We attended this conference to learn more about the new legislative requirements, the increased focus on operational effectiveness and efficiency, and the continued vulnerabilities of insider threat and cyberattacks.
Learning, however, is not the only benefit of attending the conference. At the Security Summit, Intellisoft also gets the opportunity to network with several of the top airport executives and decision makers in the industry so that we can impact the future of the industry in a positive direction. Our goal is to make our client’s lives and jobs less stressful and more efficient while making their organizations more secure.
At this year’s summit, David Peeples, President of Intellisoft, was able to meet with executives from dozens of various airports who are looking to make changes in their organizations. Peeples worked with these executives to strategize the best method and timeline to implement these improvements.
This year’s Aviation Security Summit was enlightening and gave the entire industry an optimistic outlook on a brighter future. The Intellisoft team would like to thank AAAE, TSA, CBP and DHS for hosting this wonderful event.
